My husband and I stayed here while he was in London for work. Tina and her family were wonderful hosts and very accommodating!
The room was very spacious, and yet cozy and quaint. With exceptional cleanliness, and attention to charming decorative details, and history Rosneath B&B was everything we were hoping for and more! The breakfast room was lovely and there is a wonderful cozy sitting room with a fireplace to use. Tina and her family were great with giving us privacy while at the same time being friendly and ready to chat when able.
Everything was well organized with our reservation and Tina even met us at the airport to pick us up. We had a flight delay and she went the extra mile to help us in every way possible. I highly recommend this B&B for romantic couples weekends, extended stay, work, or anything else! Tina really goes the distance to make your stay perfect.
“Great location, great room, great hosts!”
We stayed at Rosneath twice, in February and April 2009. We were going to be relocating to London. We came in February to look for housing. We arrived in Toronto much later than anticipated due to problems with our flight. When we called the hosts, they were extremely kind and accommodating. Our room was still ready for us, and we were able to rest on what seemed to be the most comfortable bed in the world, after nightmarish transatlantic travel. The breakfast next morning was relaxing, and we were able to ease into what could have been a very stressful week. The hosts were very generous with their time and offered us very helpful house-hunting tips and general information on the city. After lots of viewings all day, it was always nice to come ‘home’ to friendly and welcoming faces. We had a very successful week, and this was in large part due to the comfortable stay we had at Rosneath. We returned in April and stayed at the B&B for two weeks. We were offered a good rate due to the longer stay, and our anxieties and worries about the big transatlantic move were calmed thanks again to our stay at Rosneath. We never could have imagined a smoother transition into our new life. We will forever be thankful to the hosts for their resourcefulness. But since this is after all a B&B review, I must add that we also found the room to be very comfortable, having all the necessary amenities. We found the walk to downtown very pleasant. We found the breakfasts to be healthy, and they got us off to a good start in the mornings. We occasionally used the kitchen to prepare some light meals since two weeks is a long time to be eating restaurant meals! This was not a problem.
This is a charming B&B. Even though London isn’t particularly a tourist destination, your stay here might just make you feel like you are relaxing in a far-off land and yet feel at home at the same time. Happy travels!
“The Best B&B we know!”
Let me start by saying my husband and I absolutely LOVE this B&B! We stayed Rosneath twice so far. Our very first time was about 3 or 4 years ago. I found Rosneath on the web. The website looked nice so I sent an inquiry e-mail with bunch of questions, the availability, the rate, if we have to be back by certain time etc… I was very surprised to find her reply the very next day! She was very nice and patient with all my questions and she answered all the questions for me. That and the reasonable rate, we decided to stay there. When we got to the airport, she came and picked us up (and dropped us off). The room is more than spacious and very clean. The bedding is so comfortable that once you are in the bed, you won’t have problem falling asleep! There is Jacuzzi, too!! Well, what more can you ask for?!! We had such a pleasant experience, we decided to stay there this time as well. This time with our 2 year old son. She put a high chair at the breakfast table for us so that our son can have nice breakfast. She even found some toys that he can play with! The dining area and the living room area are for the guests so our son had so much room to play! The best thing about this B & B is the host, Tina. She is the nicest host I ever had. She is very nice and friendly, very easy to talk to. When you have somewhere to be and not sure how to get to, she is more than happy to help you find your way there. She is always available to help you make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. If you are looking for a nice cozy place to stay, I recommend you Rosneath Bed & Breakfast with 120% confident that you will not only like this place, but LOVE this place!!
Roseneath was a great experience from start to finish – Tina was happy to pick us up and drop us off at the from the bus station.
We had a private area of the house and we were made to feel very welcome. The room and on-suite were very luxurious and clean and Tina’s attention to detail was more than we expected.
The hospitality and friendliness of the host family matched the level of accommodation.
Thanks Tina for the lovely experience that is Rosneath
“Business Traveller’s Paradise!!”
I have just completed a full month’s stay at Rosneath’s Callender Room. What a find for the business traveller! Completely self contained in your own room (and your own bath) with a comfy bed, TV, radio, desk for your laptop, free wi-fi, and all the comforts of a hotel business class suite for a fraction of the price. Tina and Nick have really got the balance right…I think it’s the European sensibility that they bring to the B&B. They are clearly well travelled and know when to help and when to leave you to your own devices. I felt very comfortable and when in the mood was able to feel like a family member and enjoy a chat, a quick drink and a cuddle with “the lads”. Don’t even consider a hotel if in town on business….this is the place!
“Perfect B&B experience”
I’ve spent 4 nights at the B&B when in London for work, Tina was very nice and helpful and pleasant to talk to, and she had an answer to every question I had. She also picked me up at the airport. The room was amazing value for the price, it was clean and pretty and comfty, and despite the hot weather it was always very comfortable in the house. Quick internet connection and a jacuzzi in the room completed the picture. I’d definitely come back.
I stayed at Rosneath for 3 nights. It was truly superb in every aspect – the location was what drew me there, along with a conversation with the owner. All the rest were bonuses. I was just 2 blocks away from the care facility I was coming to visit. Another plus was being offered to be picked up, and dropped off again at the airport. Also nearby running/walking paths along the river and park. Nearby amenities, great breakfast with excellent coffee, so clean, Wi-Fi, super comfy bed, access to a beautiful dining room, and sitting area, as well as a verandah. If I could have rated it 6/5, I would have. Hoping to be able to stay a full week the next time.
“Amazing people, great place and a wonderful experience”
As i sit down to write this review i am touched by the hospitality, caring and wonderful nature of Tina and her entire family ( nick and little adrian) who own Rosneath. This has been one of the best bed and breakfast stays i have ever had in all my travel life yet. The attention to detail, ready to help attitude and the welcoming nature of the family just make this an out of the world experience.
Everything about Rosneath,s is just fantastic. They are centrally located at a stone’s throw from all major destinations in the city, their rooms are amazing (i am planning to put up some pics really soon, the sumptous breakfast and finally the callender family who make your stay completely hassle proof and memorable.
For the first time in my life i am sad to go away from a place at the end of my stay because it feels as if i am a part of this entire setup now. The last 5 days have been really memorable.
Tina puts in a lot of work in the place and it is amply evident by the fact that the B&B is spotlessly clean, she allows you to use her kitchen for small things like grabbing a snack or using the microwave, she provides you a complimentary pick up and drop which is a godsend in this city even for a seasoned traveller and all this is inclusive in the price of the place…omg where can you find such a deal.
Finally her smile is infectious. She just keeps the place running and you can see her working all through the day on something or the other. But she is always there to help you on everything. She is an expert on bus routes, shopping tips, roads….you name it.
She is there at the breakfast table everyday to make sure you are comfortable and have everything that is needed. However you are never disturbed throughout the day and you can work in peace either in your room or by the fireside in the lounge enjoying the snowfall outside. Also the free hi-speed wifi is just the cherry on the top and makes your life a lot easier. Another amazing thing is that you get your own key to enter and leave the house and that there are no curfew hours of any sort. You just need to maintain decorum as would be expected from any diligent guest in a B&B.
I would recommend Rosneath’s to anyone travelling either for business or pleasure with or without their families. I am definitely coming back the next time with my family to this place. It feels like staying in a five star hotel at a fraction of its price with all the facilities of a club suite (i.e jacuzzi, internet etc). It’s a little peice of paradise in the cold city of London and undoubtly one of the best B&B’s in this country.
“Beautiful accomodations incredibly priced”
We stayed at Rosneath for 2 weeks and it was more than we could have asked for. The bedroom is five star quality and it is quite spacious with great lighting. We had just come off staying at a hotel for 2 weeks and the contrast was drastic. At Rosneath we had everything we needed and more. Tina and her family are very accommodating and never intrusive. They dropped us off and picked us up from the train station which in itself saved us a lot of money because London has standard taxi rates to the train station/airport.
If you are at all considering staying here, do it! You will not regret it.
We stayed at Rosneath for 4 nights and we wished we could have stayed longer. Tina, Nick & Aidan treated us like part of the family. Plenty of information on where to eat and what to do around London. We stayed at B&B’s that charged twice the price that Tina does on our 7 weeks trip of Canada and by far Tina gave the best service of all. We would gladly have paid more so price alone is not a good judgement of any accommodation. Wish this B&B was in Australia but then it would be twice the price…
Cannot fault this B&B and Tina loves a chat if you want one.
