London is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, along the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor with a metropolitan area population of 432,451. It is halfway between Toronto and Detroit, USA.

Also known as "The Forest City", London is home to numerous parks such as Victoria Park, located in the centre of the city Springbank Park, Gibbons Park, and Harris Park.

London has grown into the largest Southwestern Ontario municipality and the city has developed a strong focus towards education, health care, tourism, manufacturing, economic leadership and prosperity.

The city is known for its first class medical facilities including three teaching hospitals and two of Canada's largest medical research facilities. It is home to one of the country's leading universities, the University of Western Ontario.

The city features fine dining, an art gallery, a children's museum, Storybook Gardens, live theatre, a convention centre, and the John Labatt Centre, home to the OHL London Knights and University of Western Ontario Mustangs hockey teams, and host to major concerts and events year round.

London has a VIA Rail station. and an International Airport with daily flights to several Canadian and U.S. destinations. Toronto and Detroit airports are easily accessible via Robert Q shuttle bus or Airbus Express by Aboutown.

Both Toronto and Niagra falls can be visited in a day trip from London, taking just over two hours by car.

The city is home to many festivals throughout the summer including the London International Children's Festival, the Home County Folk Festival, Sunfest, a World music and culture festival, London Airshow & Balloon Festival.
